Bugs Bunny is busy roasting carrots on a rotisserie while singing a humorous parody of the song “It’s Magic” from the 1948 Warner Bros. film Romance on the High Seas. As he hums and cooks, Yosemite Sam, played by Mel Blanc, is out hunting and gradually detects the aroma of freshly cooked carrots. His keen sense of smell confirms that a rabbit must be nearby, which sets off his relentless pursuit. In a playful and breaking the fourth wall moment, a movie patron leaves his seat, crossing in front of the screen, prompting Sam to point a rifle at him and demand he return to his seat, warning the audience in sam’s signature style about the danger.

Sam eventually reaches Bugs Bunny’s burrow, where Bugs, mistaking Sam’s nose for a carrot, teasingly flavors it, yanks it, and causes Sam to fall into Bugs’ hole. In retaliation, Bugs bites Sam’s nose before he can escape. Furious, Yosemite jumps above ground, sticks the gun down the hole, and commands Bugs to come out. Bugs emerges from the gun and famously asks, “What’s up Doc?”, to which Sam responds with an intimidating warning: “Your time is up, rabbit!” and demands Bugs leave the gun immediately.

When Bugs refuses to cooperate, Sam releases a shell containing Bugs, and he warns Bugs that he’s about to be blown to smithereens in ten seconds. Quick-thinking Bugs chews bubble gum, stuffs it into the gun, and causes the weapon to backfire, encasing Sam in a bubble. Bugs then blows him down a nearby cliff, but as Sam struggles to climb back up, Bugs pops the bubble with a pin, cleverly turning the situation in his favor. The chase continues as Sam digs around Bugs, places him in a sieve, and attempts to filter him out, threatening him with a gunpoint.

Sam then drags Bugs to his cabin, impatient to get rid of him, yelling, “Now, ya carrot-chewin’ coyote, git a-goin’!”. Bugs, hanging on a wall inside the cabin, causes some chaos with Sam’s hat, annoying him with his antics. Eventually, Bugs is forced into an oven, but he repeatedly escapes, bringing out various items such as a fan, a pitcher of water labeled “Hot in there,” chairs, and party favors to torment Sam further.

He also mischievously stirs ash into Sam’s hat and teases him about scaring up some more fun, which angers Sam even more. Later, Bugs appears from the oven, covered in lipstick and inviting Sam to a party, which surprises Sam enough to spruce himself up and step inside the oven himself. When Bugs adds more wood to the fire, he begins having second thoughts about his mischief but notices that the party inside the oven is real—a clip from Romance on the High Seas playing on film.

Finally, Bugs pokes his head out of the oven, wearing a hat and waving party favors, humorously declaring, “I don’t ask questions; I just have fun!”, embracing the chaos and humor of the situation. This cartoon showcases Bugs Bunny’s cleverness and the classic comedic antics of Yosemite Sam, all set against a playful, meta-awareness tone that delights fans of the series.
