CBI officers Lawrence and Gopal, after witnessing the depth of Vasanth and Priya's love and the tragic circumstances they endured, choose not to pursue them further. Their decision reflects a compassionate interpretation of justice over strict legal duty.

As a child, Vasanth smashes a prized gift in a shop simply because someone else bought it first. He pays for the damages but declares that if he cannot have something, nobody should. Lawrence and Gopal investigate the murder of Rangarajan and trace the connections between all parties involved. Through their inquiry into the relationships between Vasanth, Priya, Vasanth Kumar, and the deceased, they uncover that Vasanth is the actual murderer.
