In the film’s climax the first student to be infected—Wari—doesn’t simply become another mind‑less zombie. The gas from the mysterious bottle awakens a djinn that grants him a disturbing awareness. He can speak, chant prayers and draw sigils that amplify his strength, turning the other victims into obedient extensions of his will. This newfound consciousness also makes him immune to the one weakness that hinders the others: bright light.

As the blackout lifts, the surviving youths scramble for any source of illumination. Alia and Fiza manage to revive the old generator, flooding the hallways with harsh glare that forces the possessed to recoil. Meanwhile, the grieving teacher Nazmi confronts Wari in a narrow corridor, using a lighter and a hidden canister of gas to create a flash‑fire explosion. The blast kills the lesser creatures surrounding him, while Alia, Fiza and the quiet student Kechik use the restored lights to hold the remaining djinn at bay.

With the horde dwindling, the last stand ends in tragedy. Adli, who had tried to call for help, is bitten and, in a desperate attempt to protect his sister, leaps from a balcony, sacrificing himself. The security guard is overwhelmed, and several other students are overrun as the darkness returns. In the final moments, only Alia, Fiza and Kechik manage to escape the hostel and flee into the night, the generator humming behind them.

The film closes in a hospital ward where Wari, still alive, lies on a stretcher. Unlike his minions, his possession has rendered him almost invulnerable—he survived the fire, the light and the final assault. The surviving trio watches from a distance, aware that the evil they escaped is still out there, embodied in the lone, unkillable djinn that was once their friend.
