Pig Hunt

A man runs for his life through the trees as something bursts from behind him and drags him away. He screams as the creature begins to eat him, and the camera cuts to a pair of dog tags, hinting at the danger stalking the woods.

John Hickman and his girlfriend Brooks invite friends to a weekend near John's uncle's remote cabin. They set up camp after arriving and learn the place was vandalized, with John insisting the nearby rednecks aren’t responsible. Tension grows as they settle into the remote woods.

The group meets Jake and Ricky Tibbs, meth-affected cousins who want to join the hog hunt. A long-standing feud between John and Ricky resurfaces, and Ricky shows signs of instability. The others size up the competence of their companions around the camp.

They lure boars with a piglet call and draw several pigs into the area. One boar injures Wayne, fracturing his kneecap, while Wolfgang chases the escaping hogs and Brooks shoots at one of them. The hunt quickly turns dangerous.

Ricky calls Jake to inspect a disturbing find: a piglet without armor on its shoulders. They stumble upon marijuana plants growing on John's property, and an argument erupts when John objects to the Tibbses profiting from it. In the ensuing chaos, Ricky is shot, ending a tense standoff.

As they press the retreat, Ben and Quincy try to fashion a stretcher for Wayne. In the confusion, Wayne is attacked by something in the woods and vanishes, with Brooks and John returning to search for him and finding only indications that something took him.

Ben and Quincy discover Wolfgang's mutilated body, suspected to be the Tibbs clan's work. Jake rushes in to warn his clan, and the Tibbs men press pursuit. Ben kills one pursuer and escapes, but Quincy is knocked from a vehicle and shot in the back, dying on the roadside.

John and Brooks encounter the Hippie Stranger in the woods, who claims to be looking for an escaped animal and offers help via his commune. He provides cautious shelter and helps them fight off a Tibbs ambush, even as he urges them to contact the police.

Ben arrives at the hippie commune, where women drug him and he is led into a large, muddy pen. He encounters a dying Wayne, who warns that something has eaten him, and an unseen threat closes in behind him as he screams.

The remaining Tibbs clan members reach the woods around the commune but are stalked and killed by the murderous hippie women. Only one man is left alive, and he is seized by an unknown force. The hippie faction tightens its grip as the group is cornered.

Jake makes his way into the commune's interior and is confronted by some of the women. He shoots a few of them and is let into John's cell, where he spots the Ripper in the pen. A Hippie Stranger stabs Jake in the eye, and he dies from his wounds as chaos erupts around him.

John and Brooks arrive at the commune, only to be forced into separate fates: John is jailed while Brooks is taken to the boar pen. The leader's cult advances toward a dark ritual, and the Ripper, a monstrous hog, stalks the pen.

Brooks uses a cattle prod to provoke the Ripper, drawing its attention away from the others. The Ripper eviscerates the Hippie Stranger, revealing the true horror of the ritual. John then kills the Ripper with a shot from his crossbow as he makes an escape.

John and Brooks narrowly escape the boar-filled pen and come face-to-face with the feral boy who lingered in the trees at the film's start. The survivors slip away into the woods, leaving the brutal world behind as the credits roll.
