Banuprasad plants illegal explosives in Rajalakshmi’s fireworks factory to frame her and have her arrested. The police investigation looms as the plan unfolds. Ramu, faithful to the family, takes the blame and goes to jail in her place.

While Ramu is in jail, Rajalakshmi falls seriously ill and her own sons neglect her, wasting money on gambling. After his release, Ramu returns to care for his adoptive mother and support her through illness. His selfless dedication strengthens the family’s resolve.

Influenced by their brother-in-law Nagalingam, Ramu's adopted brothers rise up and seize control of the factory, forcing him out of the house. Their reckless decisions begin to ruin the family business and reputation. The family’s stability hangs by a thread as Ramu stands apart.

Undeterred, Ramu uses his resourcefulness to establish his own fireworks factory and rebuild his standing. He earns profits through hard work and integrity. Seetha, a worker in the house, grows attracted to him because of his truthfulness and dependable nature.

Ramu prevents the forced marriage of Rekha to the enemy’s son and pays for the family’s losses caused by his brothers' poor decisions. He steps in to safeguard Rekha and the parents, stabilizing the family in the process. This act mends some of the rifts and restores balance.

Ramu adopts his mother as his own and makes her the proprietor of his factory, ensuring she controls the business. This formalizes the transfer of leadership and honors the care she gave him. The arrangement strengthens the family’s continuity and respect.

Banuprasad escalates the plot, attempting to force the marriage and murder the family. Ramu again comes to the rescue, but Rajalakshmi is fatally wounded and dies in his arms. Her death marks a turning point as Ramu assumes leadership of the family.

In the closing, Ramu's daughter—reimagined as his reborn mother's daughter—celebrates her birthday with the reunited family. The clan comes together with Ramu at the helm, ensuring the legacy of Rajalakshmi endures. The story ends on a note of restored harmony and leadership.
