An experimental narrative film exploring themes of death and rebirth, Ouroboros draws inspiration from the Gaza Strip and the possibility of hope amidst despair. The story follows Diego Marcon on a cyclical journey, repeatedly confronting his pain as he travels through diverse landscapes including Native American territories, Matera in Italy, a castle in Brittany, and the ruins of Gaza. Presented as a love story, the film uses the ouroboros symbol – a snake consuming its tail – to represent the endless cycle of destruction and regeneration, and questions what it means to be human in the face of profound loss.
