This historical documentary examines the disturbing events that unfolded on the Osage reservation in the 1920s. During the oil boom in the early 1900s, Fairfax became a town plagued by frequent and unexplained deaths among the Osage people. Initially attributed to accidents, suicides, or tainted alcohol, the alarming death toll prompted suspicion. The bombing of the Smith home in Fairfax ultimately revealed a deliberate and sinister truth: someone was systematically murdering members of the Osage Nation.
