Anu Ritika Singh, Arjun Ashok Selvan, and Mani Shah Ra have been best friends since childhood, sharing a simple bond that feels unshakable. At a lively party, Anu drops a bold line: her father, Paulraj M.S. Bhaskar, is actively searching for a groom for her, and she casually asks Arjun if he’d consider marrying her. Without a moment’s hesitation, he says yes, sealing a decision that will tug at the threads of their lives in unexpected ways.
One year later, the mood shifts when Anu and Arjun sit in a family court for a final divorce hearing. A man sitting behind Arjun leans in and, with unnerving accuracy, predicts that the divorce will not end that day—his wife will faint, be rushed to the hospital by ambulance, and the moment will be interrupted. The man hands Arjun a business card and vanishes. The judge postpones the session to a second hearing at 4 PM, driven by the sudden turn of events. Compelled by curiosity and desperation, Arjun goes to the address on the card and meets the enigmatic figure who calls himself God [Vijay Sethupathi].
Arjun lays out his troubles to God, who offers him a chance to rewrite his path. The catch is strict: a golden ticket stays with Arjun at all times, he must tell no one about it, and if he ever reveals it, he will die. With the weight of a second chance in his hands, Arjun accepts and travels back in time to the night of his original marriage proposal—this is the start of a second track, a parallel life that will unfold as Point Y, distinct from the one he already lived.
In this new timeline, Arjun refuses Anu’s proposal. Anu chooses to marry Matthew, the groom arranged by her father, while Arjun dares to pursue Meera [Vani Bhojan], his school senior who now works as an aspiring director. As the days unfold, Arjun’s new life begins to take shape: he rekindles Meera’s faith in her filmmaking ambitions, lands a chance at a major audition, and even helps clear a path for her to triumph over past setbacks. Along the way, he learns more about Anu’s warmth and the unwavering support of her father, whose quiet generosity stands in stark contrast to Arjun’s prior scorn for their latrine business. The moment deepens when Paulraj reveals his origin story—his village in Tirunelveli, the mission to bring toilets there, and the sense of purpose that drove his life’s work. This revelation shifts Arjun’s perspective, prompting him to rethink what truly matters.
On a birthday trip to Meera’s home state of Kerala, Anu nudges Arjun toward a proposal for Meera, hoping he’ll be honest about his feelings. The journey also brings Meera face-to-face with her past love, Krishna [Santhosh Prathap], who hasn’t fully moved on. As Arjun’s heart leans toward Meera, he realizes how deeply Anu has always cared for him and how much she’s supported his dreams. The trip touches a growing awareness that Anu’s kindness and her father’s dedication are constants in his life, even as his feelings flicker toward Meera.
The Kerala trip becomes a turning point: Arjun’s affection for Meera coexists with a newfound appreciation for Anu. He witnesses how Meera’s art and ambition could be endless if given room to breathe, while Anu quietly demonstrates steadfast loyalty. The trio’s dynamic shifts as Arjun contemplates proposing to Meera, and Anu secretly plots to help him. However, the real-world timeline pushes forward toward a new crossroads when Anu’s wedding to Matthew looms.
Arjun attends Anu’s wedding with a heavy heart, torn between what could have been and what truly is. In a pivotal moment, Anu bolts from the church, confessing that her heart belongs to Arjun. They meet at their familiar hangout, where she reveals her love and hopes for a future together. Yet Arjun’s mind still carries the weight of their past missteps and the consequences of the second chance. He hesitates, and when he blurts out the existence of the golden ticket, the ticket itself escapes and disappears into the wind. In trying to catch it, Arjun is struck by a truck and dies, his life seemingly ending in the moment of revelation.
Back with God once more, Arjun pleads for one last chance, but God has grown tired of the loophole and sends him away. He awakens to the real, ongoing timeline—the second hearing in court is about to begin. This time, Anu gives her consent to the divorce, but Arjun stops the proceedings before they can conclude. He openly confesses his love for Anu in front of the judge and everyone present. The courtroom is stunned by this sudden reversal, and Anu’s heart softens as she finally acknowledges the depth of his feelings. The judge and everyone else are left puzzled by the dramatic turn, yet Anu accepts Arjun’s truth, and the two begin a renewed life together, a testament to second chances earned through courage, honesty, and an unyielding commitment to each other.
