What starts as a commissioned documentary on Spain gradually turns into an open‑ended, work‑in‑progress about the act of making movies. Settling in Madrid, Hanoun outlines each step of the filmmaking process, using his hesitations, doubts and the difficult working conditions as the very components of the final piece. The result is a meta‑documentary that reflects on the creative process itself.
