Christin, a 24-year-old woman, lives on a remote farm with her boyfriend, Jan. The idyllic landscape of fields and a single bus stop belies a loveless relationship and the fading memories of a happier childhood. Seeking solace, she often turns to cherry liqueur. The stagnant summer heat amplifies her feelings of isolation until the unexpected arrival of Klaus, a 46-year-old wind energy engineer, disrupts the quiet monotony of her life.
