In 2016, Arjun Vishwanathan falls in love with Diya Ramalingam during his college days. Their relationship develops quickly but is soon tested by external circumstances. Diya receives a job offer in Portugal, prompting their plans to consider long-distance future.

Arjun asks Diya to stay in India or for both to move together, but she urges him to focus on his career and needs space. After a disagreement about their future and a misunderstanding about visa delays, they have a heated argument and publicly break up. Their separation leaves emotional scars.

Seven years pass, and Arjun now runs a successful software startup with his friend Subramaniaraju. He remains affected by his past relationship and is surprised to learn about Diya's arrest in Portugal for the murder of Karthik Adhinarayanan.

Driven by the desire to help Diya, Arjun rushes to Portugal. He visits Diya's mother, Geeta, and consults with Diya's lawyer, Indirani Jahan, seeking to understand the case and plan his next steps. He is determined to prove her innocence.

Arjun attempts to meet with Karthik's father, Adhinarayanan, but is dismissed. He learns from Monty, Jenni's lover, that Vasundhra, Karthik's mother, might be involved in the attack on Diya. Arjun begins uncovering layers of conspiracy surrounding the murder.

Diya recounts her version of events to Indira, revealing her friendship with Karthik, his secret relationship, and her attempt to help him. She explains how she was falsely accused of his murder after trying to rescue him from despair.

Arjun discovers that Varadharajan, a business associate of Karthik, manipulated events to secure his son's control over properties. With help from allies, he confronts the illegal scheming and learns of a broader conspiracy involving Adhinarayanan and others.

Arjun tries to bring the corrupt elements to justice by exposing their actions to Adhinarayanan. During this effort, he is caught and beaten, but he escapes with help and hatches a plan to confront the villains and seek justice.

Arjun hijacks a bus to confront the conspirators and demands accountability. The villains hire an assassin, who ultimately shoots Varadharajan and Arjun, revealing the deadly extent of the conspiracy. The truth about Karthik’s murder is finally exposed, revealing Adhinarayanan's manipulations.

It is revealed that Adhinarayanan was responsible for Karthik’s death, motivated by his own secrets. Vasundhra exposes his crimes to the police, leading to his downfall and his suicide. Rakhi is arrested, clearing Diya’s name and restoring justice.

In a post-credits scene, Arjun, who survived the attack and was imprisoned for hijacking, is released. He finally reunites with Diya, symbolizing the culmination of their emotional journey and hope for a future together.
