After a brutal nighttime assault on a woman living alone in a suburban home, police focus on teen Eric Sutter. The victim identifies him, and the legal system moves in as friends, neighbors and the media turn against him. His mother, aided by her loyal boyfriend, fights to secure a fair trial and ensure justice for both Eric and the victim.
