The peaceful ponies of Dream Valley are attacked by monsters led by Scorpan, who kidnaps several and takes them to Midnight Castle. Pegasus Firefly flies off to find aid against the centaur‑like demon Tirek, who plans to use the ponies to pull his chariot of darkness. She crashes into 12‑year‑old Megan’s well, enlists the reluctant girl after a monster encounter, and together they embark on a rescue mission.
