Marcia, a rustic orphan, hitchhikes to the city to join her sister at a roadhouse where she works as a hostess. Upon arrival she learns her sister was brutally strangled with a garter belt. Assuming her sister’s position, Marcia goes undercover to uncover the killer, exposing the seedy lives of local officials and risking her own safety.
