Mr. Pride VS Miss. Prejudice

Zhu Hou, a spoiled rich boy, hatches a daring scheme to win the heart of his crush, Mo Mo. A mistaken twist throws the plan off: the ceremonial gesture meant for Mo Mo ends up being directed at Tang Nan Nan, a struggling online writer. The moment spins out of control, and the ceremony goes awry, landing Zhu Hou in the hospital and leaving Tang Nan Nan with a swollen face caused by a pollen allergy. At the bedside, Tang Nan Nan demands compensation, and a scuffle over money throws Zhu Hou’s wallet into a dumpster. Mo Mo arrives, bluntly admitting that a future together isn’t in the cards, pays Tang Nan Nan, and walks away, leaving Zhu Hou to be discharged after failing to cover his hospital bill.

With nowhere to go because of a condition that locks away his home access code, Zhu Hou ends up living on the streets. After a period of hardship, he crosses paths with Tang Nan Nan again and, moved by his predicament, she agrees to take him in. The two strangers-turned-housemates clash over their clashing habits and beliefs, yet a fragile connection starts to form amid the friction. A night of drinking blinds them to their finances, and they both lose track of their money, which leads to Tang Nan Nan’s eviction for unpaid rent. In a reversal of fortune, they return to Zhu Hou’s place, where Tang Nan Nan breaks in, and Zhu Hou is finally able to return home.

There, Zhu Hou reconnects with his friend Xiao Jian Jun, who immediately takes a shine to Tang Nan Nan. Tang Nan Nan grows wary of Zhu Hou’s heavy-handed insistence that his life has been lived incorrectly, and she begins to pull away. On a date between Xiao Jian Jun and Tang Nan Nan, Zhu Hou steps in and swoops in to carry Tang Nan Nan away, steering the situation back into his orbit. The two end up entangled in a car crash involving Tang Nan Nan’s ex, Jiang Hai, whose wife Fang Qiqi later invites Tang Nan Nan to dinner to try to embarrass her. Tang Nan Nan arrives with both Xiao Jian Jun and Zhu Hou, and the dinner drama halts the feud as they defend her from Fang Qiqi’s barbs. By the meal’s end, Zhu Hou protects Tang Nan Nan from further humiliation.

As they leave, Zhu Hou drags Tang Nan Nan away so they can catch a bus home, and she thanks him for helping her move on from Jiang Hai. The two openly acknowledge their feelings for each other and decide to start dating, moving in together and building a shared life.

Tang Nan Nan soon faces an opportunity to travel the world for a year to author a travelogue, a chance she wants to share with her grandmother who is going blind. This decision prompts Tang Nan Nan to break up with Zhu Hou so he can pursue his own dreams, including the app he’s building to launch a company of his own. A year passes, and Zhu Hou rises to become the head of a successful company. While in Milan for a conference, he visits Verona, drawn by a play Tang Nan Nan wrote inspired by Romeo and Juliet. He discovers Tang Nan Nan is also in Verona, and a moment of recognition passes between them. With her grandmother’s encouragement, Tang Nan Nan confirms she has not forgotten him, and the pair reunites, sharing a kiss on the balcony of Juliet’s House.
