Vinnie, a happily married bookie, has run his Brooklyn bar’s gambling operation for decades. When his bosses demand higher cuts, he’s deemed expendable and forced to mentor Tony, a hot‑headed mobster’s nephew. As Tony learns the trade, he bypasses Vinnie’s ways, makes reckless bets and threatens a loser’s wife, jeopardizing Vinnie’s reputation.
