Mickey’s new film premieres at the Chinese Theatre, drawing a parade of Hollywood legends—Laurel and Hardy, the Marx Brothers, Jimmy Durante, Clark Gable, Sid Grauman and Mae West. The cartoon, Galloping Romance, shows Pegleg Pete kidnapping Minnie while Mickey pursues them on a string of animals. The audience sways to the music, bursts into laughter, then joins the stars onstage to applaud Mickey, with Greta Garbo dousing him in kisses.
