Mario and Maria Boschi, a thirty‑year‑old couple, clash over a party name, igniting a crisis. At a gathering a colleague also named Mario gives a compelling speech, and Maria feels an attraction recalling her early love for her husband. She spends the night with him, falls ill, and must face the gap between love and a vague need for understanding.
