Malibu Shark Attack

Heather works as a lifeguard on a Malibu beach, supported by Chavez, Doug, and Barb. Jenny is on community service nearby, and Bryan proposes to Barb. The scene establishes the core cast and a sunlit, tense atmosphere before disaster strikes.

A tremor triggers a swarm of goblin sharks that begin attacking swimmers along the shore. The lifeguards scramble to manage the chaos as beachgoers panic. The threat signals an imminent, deadly turn of events.

Chavez departs for a nearby construction site after reports about a parking-area closure and a potential tsunami warning. He meets Colin and the construction crew to assess the danger and relay the warning. He then rushes back to the beach to inform Heather and the others.

Chavez saves Heather after she is knocked into the water during a shark encounter. Doug and Barb organize the evacuation with the rest of the group, taking shelter in the lifeguard hut along with Jenny and Bryan.

The tsunami crashes over the beach, leaving Bryan unconscious and Jenny with a deep cut on her leg. Heather stitches the wound, but the blood in the water attracts more sharks, trapping the group inside the hut and complicating any rescue attempts.

Yancey attempts a desperate swim to land but is eaten by a shark on the way. Karl is dragged into the water in a later attack. The construction crew at the building across the way remains stranded as the chaos unfolds.

Colin and George discover a boat and decide to sail toward the hut to reach safety or signal for help. Their plan offers a potential route to escape the aquatic threat.

Back at the hut, the group manages to kill one of the attacking sharks. Chavez climbs to the roof and fires the flare gun, killing a shark and buying a moment for the others to regroup.

Colin and George arrive aboard the boat and everyone boards, but fuel soon runs out and they begin to drift toward land. The group clings to the slim chance of escape by sea.

The boat reaches Colin's worksite and becomes stuck on a gate. George goes inside to fetch pliers while sharks close in. Bryan dives into the water to distract the predators, sacrificing himself so the others can escape.

Doug, Jenny, and Colin enter the flooded building and confront another shark, managing to kill it. Heather and Chavez discover a half-eaten George and take shelter in a car, where they reconcile.

Chavez and Heather trap and kill the last shark and reach the dry second floor. Jenny expresses a desire to become a lifeguard, and Doug offers to start her training with her remaining community service hours. A helicopter arrives to rescue the survivors.
