The Magic Brush is a Chinese animated stop‑motion film made by Shanghai Animation Film Studio. It follows a kind, young peasant boy, Ma Liang, who helps a wealthy man herd cattle. Passionate about drawing, he sketches everywhere and dreams of becoming an artist, working tirelessly toward that goal even though he lacks a paintbrush, and persists daily so.
