In a bleak world where each human lives only a few days, every experience happens once. After a single sexual act, the genitals become inert; another drink is fatal. Women can bear only one child, clothing is worn once and outgrown, and each person eats three meals before death. Benny Wult navigates this existence, learning the weight of each moment.
