In 1974, a young girl named Lane lives within a close-knit commune, struggling to find her place between independence and the rules of the community. Facing hunger, loneliness, and unpredictable threats, Lane discovers the strength within herself as she and her mother rely on their wits to survive and create a future beyond the commune’s borders.
