Elder manages a hotel inherited from his father, but over time, it declines from a luxury resort to near bankruptcy. In his fifties, he confronts the repercussions of a life marked by excess, battling erratic addictions to alcohol and cocaine. His professional failures mirror his troubled personal life, including a failing marriage. At a breaking point, Elder risks everything as he confronts his demons and the consequences of past choices, reflecting struggles common within Brazilian families.
