The narrative follows Muhan, the lethal female assassin first seen in the 1985 film Dream Crimes, originally adapted from Takashi Ishii’s manga where she is portrayed chiefly as a mahjong prodigy rather than a killer. When a contract goes wrong and she cannot kill a young girl, the botched hit forces Muhan to confront the meaning of her violent existence.
