The railroad is forged with bullets, dynamite and blood‑stained spikes. Set just before the Civil War, after the South has seceded, Southern saboteurs try to stop the line from reaching the Kansas frontier. Army captain Nelson is sent to thwart them. As the tracks push west, he faces sabotage while courting Barbara, the foreman’s daughter.
