Kaashi in Search of Ganga

Ganga fails to return home. Kaashi, living with his parents and sister, immediately begins searching for her and files a police report later that night. He refuses to give up and keeps looking, convinced something bad happened.

The next day Kaashi visits Ganga's college to check for clues. The college principal searches student records but cannot find any evidence that Ganga attended or enrolled there. The lack of records deepens the mystery.

On the way home, a group of men claim to have information about Ganga's whereabouts but refuse to divulge it. Kaashi confronts and beats them in his effort to extract the truth, showing his desperation and anger. The incident escalates his vigilance.

Devina locates one of Ganga's college friends who reveals Ganga was having an affair with Abhimanyu and had become pregnant. The friend had last seen her sometime before, adding urgency to the investigation. The revelation shifts the investigation toward Abhimanyu.

Kaashi threatens Balwant, Abhimanyu's father, to return his sister. Balwant reveals Abhimanyu is in Mussoorie, prompting Devina and Kaashi to head there together. Tension between families and fear of Ganga's fate escalate.

In Mussoorie, Kaashi confronts Abhimanyu in a hotel room and questions him about Ganga. Abhimanyu denies knowledge of Ganga, triggering Kaashi to kill him and creating his arrest.

The disfigured body of a girl is found and identified as Ganga by the clothes she wore. The case moves to court as lawyers debate what happened and who is responsible. The investigation reveals conflicting testimonies and missing family members.

During the trial, some witnesses deny Ganga's existence while others confirm it. Kaashi's parents are missing from home, and Kaashi suspects Balwant's involvement. The legal battle intensifies and public attention grows.

A psychiatrist treats Kaashi, diagnosing schizophrenia as the courtroom drama unfolds. In the heat of an argument, Kaashi grabs a gun and kills Balwant, changing the course of the trial and his own fate.

Kaashi is admitted to a psychiatric facility and begins questioning his own sanity. Devina reveals she orchestrated the revenge and that she wants him for herself, signaling a shocking twist in his perception of reality.

Devina confesses to Kaashi that his family had died long ago and that Balwant killed her family fifteen years earlier. She explains that Ganga's supposed friend was actually her sister, and that she used Kaashi to mask her revenge.

Kaashi admits he loves Devina and ends up killing her after learning the truth. She dies at his side as he confronts the pain and vengeance he has endured. The moment marks the collapse of the illusion about Ganga.

In the closing shot, Kaashi remains in a psychiatric ward but hallucinates a life with Devina and his family, suggesting his mind has accepted a false happiness rather than the truth. The film ends on a somber note about revenge and sanity.
