Three days before his wedding, George meets Alicia, a captivating Spanish woman, and Gerard, a Frenchman struggling with unrequited love. This chance meeting sets off a series of events that challenge George's understanding of love and commitment.

In an effort to uplift Gerard, George invites him to Alicia's party that night. At this gathering, George finds himself unexpectedly drawn to Alicia, only to learn she is already involved with a British professor named Nathan.
