Jekyll and Hyde… Together Again

Medical students observe Dr. Daniel Jekyll performing brain surgery at Our Lady of Pain and Suffering Hospital in Los Angeles. The procedure is explained in clinical terms, showcasing Jekyll's deft hands and calm under pressure. The scene sets up Jekyll's rising reputation and the sinister bargain looming over his future.

Hubert Howes, the hospital's wealthiest man, watches a recording of the operation and openly intends to recruit Jekyll for the world's first total transplant. He threatens to blow up the hospital if his demands are not met. Dr. Carew tries to control the situation and warns Jekyll about the personal cost.

Mary visits the charity ward and complains that Jekyll missed their lunch date due to work. Dr. Knute Lanyon flirts with Mary, hinting at a rival interest. The tension foreshadows the complications that will test Jekyll's loyalties.

Ivy Venus, a club performer who has befriended Jekyll, flirts with him and invites him to visit the nightclub where she works. He agrees, drawn by the lure of play and risk. The invitation marks the start of his dangerous double life.

Over the next days, Jekyll makes multiple attempts to dispose of the drug, but each failure leads him to inhale more. His escalating usage fuels increasingly reckless and sexually charged exploits. The routine shows how the drug exerts control over his choices.

Jekyll wins a research grant and is invited to a ceremony in London. He hopes the prize money will buy Ivy's affection, revealing how his ambition and addiction intertwine. Hyde's influence continues to shape his decisions regardless of his intentions.

Hyde locates Ivy at an arcade and invites her to London. Ivy claims she prefers Jekyll over Hyde, and Hyde reveals they are the same man, sparking a fatal confrontation. In a fit of frustration, he destroys an arcade game and Ivy is electrocuted.

Hyde travels to Los Angeles International Airport and climbs onto a flight bound for London. Ivy survives and travels to London by train, vowing revenge.

At the London ceremony, actor George Chakiris accepts the award on Jekyll's behalf and announces that the remaining vial will be donated. Hyde swings down from the balcony, grabs the microphone, and begins to sing to the stunned audience.

Mary is aroused by Hyde's new persona, while Ivy wants Jekyll back, creating a volatile love dynamic. Hyde leads them through foggy streets before collapsing, turning back into Jekyll. Ivy and Mary drag him toward a cemetery to negotiate an impossible arrangement.
