A grumpy forty‑year‑old man lives with his wife in a cramped high‑rise, and his days melt into a monotonous loop of dinner‑time arguments, garbage trips, noisy neighbours, elevator rides and missing socks. He drifts from one petty grievance to the next, feeling trapped in the endless corridors of the block. His contempt covers everyone, especially his spouse, and even his sexual fantasies cannot free him from the self‑imposed torment that defines his life.
