Four men reunite in Purgatory, after‑life between heaven and hell, after years of no contact. There they confront memories of their Catholic school years and the choices that defined them. The film tackles sexual identity, featuring an 18‑year‑old sent to Vietnam who dies a virgin and a middle‑aged alcoholic playwright wrestling with self‑acceptance.
