Four years after the 1964 Brazilian military coup, civil rights were suspended and systematic torture began. The film blends fiction and documentary to create a powerful record of personal memory, political repression, and survival. It interweaves interviews with eight former female political prisoners and the imagined reflections of an anonymous character portrayed by Irene Ravache.
