A very personal look at the history of cinema, directed, written and edited by Jean‑Luc Godard in his Swiss residence in Rolle over a decade (1988‑98). The film is a monumental collage that weaves together film fragments, texts, quotations, photographs, paintings, music, sound and varied readings, offering a critical, beautiful and melancholic vision of cinematic art.
