When the cult leader Young‑Chun steals the powers of Yak‑sun and Ki‑dong, blinds Ki‑dong and stages a theatrical “resurrection” in a colossal arena, the five strangers are forced to confront him.
The climax erupts in the stadium’s grand stage. Wan‑seo and Young‑Chun clash in a brutal hand‑to‑hand fight, but Young‑Chun’s borrowed powers make him overwhelming. Sun‑nyeo then uses her touch‑based ability to pool the team’s powers into a single vessel, hoping to restore what was taken. Young‑Chun tries to hijack the transfer, wrenching Wan‑seo to the ground, until her father—who has been knocked out—leaps in with a perfectly timed taekwondo kick that sends the villain reeling.
As the battle shatters the massive statues surrounding the arena, hidden electrical transformers are exposed, threatening a catastrophic surge. Remembering his childhood trauma, Ki‑dong volunteers to become the conduit; buoyed by his friends’ support, he absorbs the overload and neutralizes the danger, while the other members direct the remaining energy back toward Young‑Chun. Defeated and dying, the cult leader collapses on his throne, stripped of the stolen abilities.
With the threat ended, the transplanted powers return to their original owners, and the mysterious tattoos reappear on each of them. United by the ordeal, the five heroes adopt the name Hi‑Five, a nod to both their number and the gesture that sealed their bond. The film closes on their newfound camaraderie, hinting at a fresh, off‑beat chapter for this unlikely superhero team.
