Ghosted

Sadie Rhodes drives while talking on the phone with her therapist, expressing her sadness over the recent loss of a coworker, Eva. The therapist advises her to take steps to move on and suggests she stops for groceries. This scene sets up Sadie's emotional state and her routine amidst her grief.

Sadie arrives at a farmer’s market to buy a houseplant, briefly engaging with vendors. Cole Turner, who runs the herb shop nearby, steps in when the vendor takes a break. Their initial interaction is marked by an argument over the type of houseplant Sadie should get, highlighting her busy schedule and her time away from home.

Cole invites Sadie for coffee after their initial conversation, and they enjoy a date visiting a museum and seeing the famous steps from 'The Exorcist.' Later, they go to a karaoke bar, where Sadie performs, but Cole, shying away from the spotlight, refuses to participate. Despite setbacks, they share a mutual attraction that leads to spending the night together.

A few days later, Cole visits his parents and sister at their farm. He confesses to missing Sadie and worries he’s already been ghosted, revealing how much he feels he has left to risk in life. His family encourages him to take chances, reminding him that he has never left the country.

Using tracking tiles, Cole discovers Sadie is in London with his inhaler. Determined to surprise her, he travels to London, where he is quickly abducted after being knocked out near London Bridge. His tracking device leads him to an underground interrogation with Borislov, who believes Cole is an agent called 'The Taxman.'

Sadie, revealed to be a secret agent, rescues Cole from Borislov and his men. She demonstrates her combat skills, shoots her enemies, and escapes with Cole to the Khyber Pass, showcasing her true identity and mission. This marks a significant turning point in their relationship and the plot's action sequences.

Sadie and Cole commandeer a tourist bus to escape their pursuers, with Sadie driving backwards through dangerous terrain. They are chased and shot at, and eventually, Cole kills a villain using a cactus while Sadie eliminates another attacker, demonstrating their resourcefulness and growing partnership.

Back in the US, Sadie and Cole are captured by CIA agents and subjected to a lie detector test, where Sadie admits her professional sacrifices. Meanwhile, international bounty hunters including Grandson of Sam, Leopard, and God the Bounty Hunter are actively hunting Cole, believing him to possess the dangerous bioweapon, Aztec.

Sadie and Cole devise a plan to use Cole as a hostage to infiltrate the villains' operation, leading to a tense confrontation on a rotating restaurant. Sadie reveals her identity as Taxman, and she and Cole work together to retrieve the case containing Aztec, leading to a chaotic fight with bounty hunters and villains amid the rotating environment.

Sadie and Cole fight Leveque and his henchmen to prevent the delivery of Aztec. Sadie shoots a tower to cause Leveque’s fall, securing the bioweapon. Following the chaos, Cole brings Sadie to meet his family, and they share a romantic moment. The film concludes with them starting a new chapter together, combining action with personal connection.

Several months later, Cole and Sadie are shown working together on new missions, with Cole taking in targets for information. They enjoy a museum date, indicating their relationship is now both personal and professional, sharing adventures that extend beyond the main storyline.
