Hamid, a Syrian literature professor, has sought refuge in France after escaping detention and torture under the Assad regime. Living under an assumed identity, he secretly works with a group dedicated to tracking down Assad’s former enforcers, who have fled Syria and are now living in Europe under false pretenses.
