In a quiet Argentine town, a sudden political upheaval erupts when a faction of Peronists denounces the newly elected mayor as a communist. Determined to keep his post, he rallies an eclectic band of allies—from the town drunk to eager young activists—to defend his office. The ensuing clash is a slap‑stick battle that still carries a serious social message.
