Force 10 from Navarone

In 1943, Major Keith Mallory and Sergeant Donovan Miller receive their orders from the British Army. Their mission is to track down Nicolai, a Nazi spy who previously betrayed one of their critical operations.

Mallory and Miller embark on their dangerous journey across the Adriatic Sea. They aim to penetrate the ranks of the anti-Nazi guerrilla forces in Yugoslavia and uncover Nicolai’s whereabouts.

Along their journey, they are joined by Force 10, a U.S. Army sabotage team led by Lieutenant Colonel Mike Barnsby. The team commandeers a British Royal Air Force Lancaster bomber to assist in their mission.

The Lancaster bomber crashes in unfamiliar territory, which severely complicates their mission. Only five men—Barnsby, Mallory, Miller, Weaver, and Reynolds—survive the wreck.

The commandos encounter a group they believe to be Yugoslav Partisans, only to realize they are actually Chetniks. Captured by Captain Drazak, they must hide their explosives from their captors.

Mallory deceives Major Schroeder by claiming that the suitcase contains penicillin. This clever ruse prevents the officer from discovering the explosives meant for their mission.

Maritza, their supposed ally, betrays Mallory and Barnsby to the Chetniks. However, they manage to escape to her father's camp, where they discover another group of true Yugoslav Partisans led by Lescovar.

At the Partisan camp, Barnsby reveals that a strategically important bridge is the target of their mission. The Germans plan to use it for an impending attack, intensifying the urgency of their mission.

Mallory and Barnsby infiltrate the Chetnik camp disguised as captives, aided by Lescovar and Marko. They execute a daring rescue for Miller amidst growing tensions within the camp.

Miller raises concerns about the bridge's defenses, prompting Mallory to devise an innovative plan. Instead of directly attacking the bridge, they decide to destroy the dam upstream to cause flooding.

The team coordinates a nighttime parachute drop for resupplying their explosives. However, Lescovar alerts German forces about their plans, leading to heightened tensions as they await the drop.

Amidst Lescovar's betrayal, the team conducts a bold raid on a German railroad yard. This daring mission is aimed at stealing more explosives for their planned attack.

As they approach the dam, the team splits into two groups to execute their plan. Miller and Weaver create a diversion, leading to a fierce confrontation with Captain Drazak.

Mallory and Barnsby successfully rig the explosives, resulting in the dam collapsing and obliterating the bridge downstream. This crippling blow halts the impending German offensive.

After their momentous victory, the team realizes they are trapped on the wrong side of the river. They begin their arduous trek toward Allied territory, facing the uncertainties that the war still presents.
