An old‑timer tells his grandson that players from the early days of football could hold their own against a modern squad, prompting a fantasy matchup: Bygone University’s eleven‑man team faces Present State’s many specialized units and support staff. The stadium, crowd and media are contemporary, while the opposing side plays in a bygone era. The contest is tightly contested and fiercely fought.
