Fluxx (2024) Ending Explained – Final Scene & Meaning

In the final stretch of Fluxx, Vada’s spiralling delusion reaches its brutal climax. After a night of heavy drinking, she forces her way into the house she once shared with Trevor. The confrontation turns violent: she shoots Victoria first, then Trevor, and finally the bodyguard who tries to intervene. The police burst in moments later, and Vada is taken into custody. Yet, even as the officers handcuff her, she imagines the scene as a glossy red‑carpet premiere, the flashing lights of paparazzi replacing the harsh reality of a crime scene.

The film then pulls back to the opening image that has haunted Vada throughout: she awakens in a bathtub, the same sterile room, a phone ringing with a child's voice asking if she wants to get out. A doppelgänger of herself—her subconscious made flesh—appears, stalks her, and is finally killed. The loop snaps back once more, leaving Vada trapped in an endless cycle of waking, reliving the murder, and confronting the distorted versions of her own memories that play out on an imaginary home‑theater screen.
