Violence. Feeling. Being caught. Ingo Hasselbach grew up with Communist Party parents in East Germany and later experienced the opposite extreme. He recounts the outward pressures that propelled him to establish Germany’s first neo‑Nazi party and the inner convictions that caused him to abandon it five years later, probing how such profound shifts in loyalty occur.
