Wealthy Cynthia is in love with Roger, who is married to Marcia. Marcia agrees to divorce if Cynthia pays a settlement, but Cynthia’s trust fund will lapse unless she marries by a set date. To meet the condition she arranges a marriage of convenience with condemned Hagon Derk, hoping to secure the money for his sister. When the true culprit is found, Derk is freed, leaving Cynthia unexpectedly wed to a man she barely knows and never wanted.
