The film follows a group of manual laborers who belong to a Socialist Brigade. Their leader, Gyula, experiences a dream in which a gate‑keeper searches through Lenin as he prepares to leave the factory. Inspired, Gyula arranges for his brigade to stage Gelman’s play Premium, believing the drama strikingly reflects the reality they observe around them.
