Viruta and Capulina are magicians at a theater with corrupt stagehands. Two stagehands kill a clerk and hide the body in the clubhouse of Crista, Viruta’s girlfriend. The duo tries to move the corpse in a trunk, but it ends up in Viruta’s room. Capulina’s girlfriend finds red paint, thinks he is dead and falls asleep. Detectives charge the pair with murder.
