Ending explained
How Delivery Run (2025) ends, in short: the final scene, the last twist and what it means for the characters. The full ending explained, with every spoiler, lives on its own page.
Leland’s night of deliveries becomes a frantic race for his life when a massive snow‑plow truck inexplicably follows him down the icy roads of Nisswa. After a brief encounter with Deputy Nathan—who briefly arrests him before the truck ram‑s the officer—Leland ducks into a mountain‑side restaurant where Rebecca, the loan shark who’s been hounding him, waits with her henchman. The mysterious truck barrels through the building, killing Rebecca’s crew (Rebecca herself survives only long enough to be left wounded).
Seizing the moment, Leland grabs a fire‑extinguisher, douses the driver’s seat, and bolts back to his car. On the frozen stretch ahead the ice beneath his vehicle begins to crack, forcing a desperate decision. He abandons the car, leaping out with his goldfish Regi, and watches as the truck, still locked onto his tail, careens over the edge and explodes in a blaze of fire and metal. The wreck eliminates the relentless pursuer once and for all.
Shaken but alive, Leland discovers an old iron cross among the debris. The cross, a relic of the cabin where a chained woman—one of the missing hikers—had been held, proves to be his literal lifeline. He sells the crucifix at the pawn shop, raising enough cash to settle the bulk of his debts and to buy the food‑truck Gus has been waiting on. He calls Gus to confirm he’ll pick up the truck the next day, hinting that his culinary ambitions may finally lift him out of the spiral of loans and threats.
As the credits roll, the man who earlier warned Leland about the Dyatlov‑Pass‑style disappearances reappears, offering a ride back to town. The two bond over their pets—Regi the goldfish and a turtle the stranger carries—suggesting a quiet, hopeful after‑glow to an otherwise nightmarish ordeal. The film closes with the lingering possibility that the driver of the haunted truck was more than human, leaving the door open for another chilling run down the road.
