In Sauerland, Germany, 1995, the body of high school student Sonja Risse is discovered in a forest, alongside a music box playing the lullaby "Hush Little Baby." The case remains unsolved for decades. Twenty-five years later, investigative journalist Stefanie Schneider finds a similar scene in Cologne – an undressed man with a music box nearby. Recognizing the connection to the Sonja Risse case, journalist Jan Römer revisits the original investigation, interviewing Sonja's mother, former teacher, and friends. As they delve deeper, inconsistencies and overlooked details from the initial investigation come to light.
