When a wildfire hits the Hollywood Hills, a family is cut off as their neighborhood burns and their home becomes a cage of flame. A pack of coyotes, disoriented by the flames, circles the property. With roads collapsed and no power, the family must rely on courage, resilience and love to survive the inferno and the predators outside.

The film ends after the wild pack of coyotes has turned the affluent Hollywood‑Hills home into a nightmare. When the animals break into the house, Scott finally faces the chaos he has tried to ignore. After a failed attempt to rely on his exterminator friend Devon—who is dragged down by the pack—Scott retreats to the garage, realizes how his work‑obsessed life has left his family vulnerable, and apologizes to Liv and Chloe.
In the darkness of the crawlspace he discovers two young coyotes trapped beneath the house. He frees them and, hoping to calm the desperate parents, carries the pups back outside, offering them up one by one to the waiting pack. The sight of their offspring stops the attack; the mother howls, the wolves retreat, and the family is finally safe enough to climb out of their makeshift “cage.” With Devon’s cattle‑prod in hand, Scott even saves neighbor Julie from a last‑minute ambush, showing that he has conquered his fear of blood and violence.

As they scramble into Devon’s van and drive away, the house behind them erupts in flame—ignited earlier by Trip’s chaotic partying—turning everything they once owned to ash. The only things that survive are a few comic‑book trophies and the memory that they managed to survive the night. In the final moments the film hints that Devon, oddly unscathed, has snatched one of the rescued pups, suggesting the battle with the wild may not be entirely over.
