Doc watches Champ training on a punching bag and accidentally drops a hammer on the dog’s toe. Champ howls, hops in a wild beat‑nik dance while cradling his foot. An impressed coffee‑house owner signs them for his club “The Hungry Me.” Doc stages concerts, accompanying Champ on piano; the act makes teenage cats swoon. Opening night sparks enthusiastic finger‑snapping, and Champ delivers a dazzling beat routine after Doc’s intro despite his sore toe.
