Two women lounge in a London living‑room, smoking, playing cards and listening to the radio. Masks, make‑up and costumes let them whimsically shift identities, a hallmark of Dwoskin’s work. Shot in colour, the film captures the city’s swinging energy. In its second half the women watch their own rushes on an editing table, declaring “We are making a movie,” prompting Dwoskin’s question about how much of acting is performed.
