After Jessy sets fire to his adoptive parents' garage, he is sent to a youth detention center. There he befriends Roark, another troublemaker, and the two break out, fleeing into a remote forest. Along the way they encounter Rain, a girl escaping her militia‑led father. Hunted by the militia, the trio struggles to reach safety and build a new life.
