The saga continues with the Cartwright sons after Ben and Hoss have died and Little Joe vanished while traveling with Teddy Roosevelt. Aaron, Ben’s brother, now runs the Ponderosa alongside Annie, Little Joe’s wife, while their son Benjamin returns from the East. Charlie Poke, who owes his life to Ben, serves as foreman but clashes with Aaron. Aaron grants a mining company access to the ranch, yet its leader has ulterior motives. Meanwhile, Hoss’s previously unknown son Josh arrives, intent on killing Hoss, believing he abandoned his mother, unaware that Hoss is already dead.
